A luxury travel brand built upon responsible tourism

Founder Tom started Wayfairer having experienced poor wages and working conditions for porters whilst trekking in Tanzania. He committed to starting a travel company which only worked with the most reputable suppliers, who were delivering exceptional services whilst paying local workers a fair wage and in fair working conditions.

As the company grew that commitment to excellence saw the brand develop two key pillars to its ethos: luxury travel and responsible travel. To this day our mission is to offer luxury holidays to our discerning travellers which benefit local communities and conserve nature. We specifically promote local partners, accommodation options and responsible activities so that our holidays are mindful of their environments and fit within our core principles.

Meet Our Team

We believe we are one of the most exciting and innovative travel companies to work for and as such we are able to attract the very best talent to join us. From our Luxury Travel Specialists, who spend at least 2 weeks of their working year exploring our destinations, to our remote team of content writers, videographers and marketers, who have the freedom to work from any place they choose. We are building a team of experts to provide incredible holidays and informative luxury travel blogs and stories from across the world.

LEONIE TAYLOR

Leonie grew up in Uganda and regularly went on safari all over Africa with family from a young age. She relishes exploring new, exciting destinations as her love for travel continues to grow.

TOM BLAKEY

Tom is one of the original Founders of Wayfairer. He is incredibly passionate about travel, particularly in remote destinations, and he is involved our Product, Sales & Customer Service teams.

CAT VON BREDOW

Cat, originally from Germany, has travelled extensively and lived in different countries throughout Europe, Africa and South America. She is passionate about wildlife and scenery.

JASON STEVENS

Jason is the CEO of Wayfairer Travel, drawing on over two decades of global leadership expertise and a passion for luxury travel, to take Wayfairer in new and exciting directions.

SIRIPUN (TOON) SINBUATHONG

Siripun has travelled and lived in several countries around the world and has been exposed to different cultures from a young age. At Wayfairer, she leads a whole range of business development activities.

JOSH FLATMAN

With a background in biology and conservation, working in travel has enabled Josh to combine this interest with a love for Africa and has visited this varied continent on safari many times.

MAGGIE ASBURY

With a background in nature conservation and a love for travel, Maggie’s favourite trips have been those travelling to remote locations to volunteer with vulnerable wildlife.

REBECCA BLAKEY

Rebecca specialises in Africa & some of the more remote destinations. She calls Dubai home but is now based in the UK after working in international development in Bangladesh & Tanzania.

LOTTE NASH

A love of travel has come from a love of people. Lotte has travelled across India and Sri Lanka, Brazil and the Philippines seeking the quirks of different cultures and finding peace within nature.

KAT MACLEOD

Zimbabwean born and raised in Kenya, the African bush runs deep through Kat's veins. She loves waxing lyrical about the continent's wild places to anyone who will listen!

THITIPRON (JUNE) HARANYAKIJ

Thitipron grew up in the US, now based in Thailand has a background in travel and cultural exploration, her passion for culinary adventures is the fuel for her love of new, exciting experience across the world.

ELEANOR ROBERTS

Eleanor grew up in Uganda, travelling from a young age with her cartographer father. With a background in tourism management and a love for the continent, she hopes to show the world Africa’s true potential.

JESS TYERS

Jess has a deep love for travel in Kenya, which she has visited many times and where her twin sister manages a safari lodge. She recently returned from South Africa and is looking forward to a safari in Tanzania next!

KATIE ADDLESTONE

Katie’s love of travel has taken her to 45 countries (and counting!) She has spent most of her travels in Asia, Oceania and Africa, but her fascination with different cultures means that no destination is off limits.

JUAN RAMIREZ

Originally from Colombia and with a background in tourism management, Juan is passionate about sharing with the world Latin America’s true potential and wisdom from its native people.
