Luxury Thailand Holidays

Blissful beaches, tropical jungles, jaw-dropping cultural sites and awe-inspiring wildlife

Welcome to Thailand

Nicknamed the Land of Smiles, Thailand is a natural choice for adventurous families, bliss-seeking honeymooners, or couples looking for an unforgettable travel experience.

From secluded beaches and cheerful night markets, to zig-zagging tuk-tuk rides and breakfast with elephants, there’s a reason that Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Our job is to help you explore this country in a manner that both absorbs its highlights, and yet forges a path away from the norm.

Don’t Miss...

Iconic journeys typically commence in bustling Bangkok, head north to the ancient walled city of Chiang Mai, introduce you to hill tribe communities and explore the wilds of the national parks, before heading to a pristine island paradise for a few days’ R&R.

Wild and Wonderful

For adventurers, Thailand can be the perfect playground. The country’s less-visited national parks are diverse and colourful, offering everything from soaring mountains and limestone karsts, to jungles and rice paddies, and from the Mekong River to the Andaman Sea. Opt to stay in a jungle treehouse, to be woken by birdsong, or dine under the stars at a floating lodge, where early morning mists gradually reveal an emerald lake. By day, cave-hopping, kayaking, hiking, white-water rafting, waterfall-swimming are all on the table.

Culinary Prowess

Gastronomes will adore the dining options across the country, ranging from simple, traditional meals to extravagant feasts, whether you’re pulling up a stool at a local night market or sitting down in one of the Bangkok’s finest restaurants. Culinary masterclasses are a mainstay of many Wayfairer itineraries, offering you the chance to take the taste of Thailand home with you.

Beaches and Bliss

Of course, no traveller’s tale of Thailand would be complete without a visit to an island paradise. Whether you’re honeymooners seeking total seclusion, or families hoping for a mixture of activity and down-time, there is an established array of luxury resorts and boutique hotels that offer the discerning traveller precisely what they need.

Best times to visit Thailand

Thanks to its long coastline there is always a good time to visit Thailand. Along the coast of the Andaman Sea (Phuket and Krabi) November until February is the best time to visit, with heavy monsoon rains occurring from May until October. In the Gulf of Thailand (Koh Samui and neighbouring islands), the reverse is true with the best time to visit being February until April, and the rain hitting in October and November. The north is graced with warm days and cool evenings from November to February, with the average temperature in March, April and May is 35°c. June until October daily downpours of rain occur for a few hours in northern Thailand, but this is a good time to avoid crowds.

Don’t miss Thailand’s New Year celebration; Songkran is a three-day nationwide water fight. Yii Peng and Loy Kratong are northern Thailand’s magnificent festivals, with thousands of sky lanterns floating peacefully in the night sky.

Where to go in Thailand

Phuket and Koh Samui have some of the most beautiful beaches in the region, and most of our luxury hotel offerings come with direct beach access. Khao Sok national park is one of our most memorable tour offerings and no trip to Thailand is complete without meeting an elephant up close and personal.

Bangkok is one of Asia’s largest cities, with modern buildings and old wooden houses sitting side by side. Chiang Mai is much smaller and has over 300 temples scattered through its city limits. Spend a few days here exploring the old city, shopping and getting pampered with massages.
